Sewing my beautiful fairy skirts is probably one of the happiest parts of my day. And while sewing all my skirts is part craft, part art, my fairy skirts are really where I get to express myself. Each skirt is unique, I pick a collection of fabrics with colors that work together, edge and sew individual strips together, painting a unique skirt with fabric.
The skirt shared above was made to be part of an outfit that a customer was putting together, she shared photos of the other parts of her costuming, wings and so on and I used those to make a skirt that was in the same color palette just for her. While I love making these and seeing your delight when you find one that matches you at an event, its even better when its custom made for you.
